Everything about how Newman works, what it costs, and how your privacy is handled. If it's not here, reach out — a real person reads every message.
Newman is an AI recovery companion built to help people break free from porn and unwanted sexual behavior. You talk to Newman — by voice or text — and it listens to your story, helps you understand what's actually driving the behavior, and walks with you toward honesty, connection, and lasting change.
Newman isn't a chatbot with generic advice. It's built around a structured understanding of what fuels this pattern — your brain, your emotions, your relationships, and (if it's part of your life) your faith — and it adapts to your specific situation over time.
Anyone who wants to stop, or has already tried and struggled to make it stick. You don't need to have hit some specific "rock bottom" to start — a lot of people reach out while they're still in the middle of it, unsure if they're even ready.
No. You can open the app and start talking to Newman immediately — no login, no signup wall. An account is only needed once you decide to continue past the initial conversation.
No. Newman is a companion for your recovery, not a substitute for licensed medical or mental health care, or for in-person programs like SAA or Celebrate Recovery. Many people use Newman alongside those — as daily support between sessions or meetings, not instead of them.
If you're in crisis, please see the crisis resources on our Resources page.
Both, by design. The core of Newman's approach — understanding your triggers, your brain, your emotions, your relationships — works the same either way. If faith is part of your life, Newman can bring in Scripture and a faith-centered framing; if it isn't, Newman keeps things secular and practical. You're not locked into one or the other from the start.
No. Newman follows your lead on this. If you'd rather keep things secular, that's respected throughout — nothing about the core method depends on faith content.
Every part of Newman is built around giving you a private, trusted space to be honest without fear of judgment or exposure. No system can guarantee absolute privacy, but we hold ourselves to the highest commercially reasonable standards of anonymity and security in how your information is handled.
No one else has access to your conversations with Newman. Your account and your sessions are yours alone.
Newman remembers things relevant to your recovery — your triggers, your patterns, what's helped before — so it doesn't feel like starting over every conversation. Whatever's captured is shown back to you transparently, and you're able to review and edit it rather than it being hidden in the background.
Please don't wait to read anything else — go straight to the crisis support numbers on our Resources page, or call 911 if there's immediate danger.
Yes. Account deletion is available in Settings. Your subscription is cancelled immediately, and your data is fully anonymized after a 30-day grace period.
Newman is $29/month. Unlimited text conversation with Newman is always included at no extra cost. The subscription covers a set amount of avatar (voice + video) conversation each month; if you go beyond that, additional avatar minutes are billed automatically at the end of your billing cycle.
Yes, anytime, from Settings. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds, but no further charges either.
You're never cut off. Once you're past your included avatar minutes for the month, additional usage is billed per minute automatically — and text chat with Newman stays free and unlimited regardless, so you always have a way to reach out.
Either, whenever it suits you. Voice conversations with Newman's avatar tend to feel more like talking to a real coach; text is there for moments you'd rather stay quiet — on a bus, at work, late at night next to someone sleeping.
A relapse resets your day-count, but it doesn't erase your progress. Newman tracks your overall journey separately from your streak, so a slip doesn't undo the deeper work you've done — it walks you through it, without shame, and helps you get back to it.
Newman is a mobile app. If you're switching phones or reinstalling, log back in with your existing account and your progress and history will be right where you left it.
Email support@newmantek.com from the app's Support screen or directly, and a person will get back to you. For anything urgent, use the crisis resources instead — those connect you immediately.
We read every message that comes in — reach out and we'll help directly.
